Pattern: Cassidy by Bonne Marie Burns (Chic Knits)
Yarn: Aran Tweed Donegal Yarn from the Commodumin Ireland.
Color: Citron Yellow #4987
Yardage: 1400 yds. (4 Irish Skeins of 350 yds each)
Modification: Started the pattern right from the cast on edges of the body and the sleeves. Used a 2 sizes smaller needle for the first 4" of the sleeve ‘cuffs’. Did not make the hood. Made a collar using the same TW3 cable from the body of the sweater.
There is a Ravelry Cassidy Knitalong. I didn’t host it, but I revived it along with a couple of other knitters.
The yellow of the cardigan is a lovely color for you!! You look amazing in it!!
I was wondering…how is your stash busting coming along? I don’t keep up with that thread anymore, but I can’t help but think that you must be knocking it out in a big way with all of the projects you’ve been working on.
Another stunner!! You are SO fast! The color is fabulous on you! Course you say it’s for winter and I look at it and wish I had it NOW in this miserable New England weather
It’s just beautiful! I love the colour, and I really love the cables in the front on either side of the button band. And it’s nice to see you modeling your creation, too
Yes, and it is less “gold” looking in different lighting. Sometimes I look at it and think…this isn’t lemon yellow, this is light gold.
Other times, it looks lemon!
Good thing though, the ‘donegals’ are white and lime-leaf green!
This adds to the overall citrus appeal!
Doesn’t this look more lemon-lime-citrus??
Anyway, I’ll tell ya this, it is the closest to lemon yellow I’ve found so far!
Absolutely incredible!!! Wow! Your projects always look so professional! I know I’ve said it before, but I wanna knit like you when I grow up. Gorgeous job!!
