FO - Capelet

This is my first knitted wearable item. What do you think?
Do I need to make it longer?
It’s 100% mercerised cotton. Do I need to block that? If so, how?
Many questions…

I love it! I don’t think it needs to be longer. Blocking is a personal thing. If you like the way it looks, then you don’t need to block. I usually block if my stuff is curling, or if my stitches are uneven. Etc.

It’s adorable! What pattern did you use?

I got the pattern here:

It was fast and easy!

Thanks!

On the website, she said she used 1 1/2 balls of Rowan Polar, and I just happen to have 2 balls of Rowan Polar on hand in a soft pretty grey, and couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I started a scarf with it (which I’ll now frog), but knowing my dd’s love of wearing grey, and that she wears a size small, and is always needing something to just cover her shoulders over tank top style dresses at work, I know exactly what I’m gonna make! :cheering:

Don’t make it longer, it’s perfect! I like the color :inlove:. That’s neat you can wear it two ways - now you just need a brooch.

I think the length is perfect on you. I color is fab, too!
Blocking is up to you…from here, it doesn’t look like it needs it. I usually block if my stitches look kinda uneven and bumpy (which normally happens if I’m stopping and starting the project a lot.)

Great job, though! I agree with Jackie, you need a pretty brooch to go with it, now.

I think the length is just right. Turned out beautifully!

Looks great! I SO need one in white.

It looks great, and that is one of my favorite patterns! You did a great job and will enjoy wearing it! :cheering: I did add length to the bodice and sleeves when I mand made a winter one. My daughter liked it so much I made a shrunken version for her.

What a great versatile capelet! It looks terrific!

Looks great. :cheering: :cheering: :cheering: If you won’t to know how to blockread this.

I made one of those too! Such a quick and easy knit!! Looks great! :cheering:

Thanks everyone!
