Hi, I haven’t knitted in ages, but when my 10 y.o. daughter wanted a starter knitting kit - guess who got roped in? After making a hat from the kit for the 10 y.o., I had to have my 16 y.o. daughter pick a scarf project for me to do. I modified the pattern a bit in adding several rows of garter stitch at each end and at the neck because this tends to curl quite a bit. I used Sirdar Denim Ultra Mega Chunky with cotton and wool and the size 15 needles as recommended.
