The knitting has been done for a while, but I finally got it seamed today. The inside is still in need of a lot of trimming, but I could wear it if I wanted to, as is.
It’s from a Kaffe Fassett pattern in a Rowan Magazine.

{jaw hitting keyboard} THUNK! Just beautiful.
OMG that’s beautiful. Now put it on and model it for us.
Wow. Wow again. Triple wow.
I just don’t think I’ll ever be able to do somthing like that although I’d like to Ingrid is the knitting goddess!!
Thanks, everyone. I wouldn’t call myself a goddess! It’s just knitting!
The pattern is beautiful and there were alot of persnickety color changes, but with experience, anyone here could do it!
How long did it take?
Just gorgeous!
And yes, model it please!! :cheering:
Since I started it before Christmas, and then set it aside for Christmas knitting, it’s hard to say how long it took. It has been sitting around a while since seaming is not my favorite thing.
I can’t model it unless there’s someone home to take a picture, and I’m not sure the kids can do it well. Maybe another day.
Um, I’m not buying that bit of hooey, Ingrid! Do a Cate and take a photo of yourself in the mirror!
I don’t have a full length mirror that I can stand far enough away from.
sigh
Well, maybe someday we’ll see you in it
Is the sweater really thick? It looks thick. Actually, it looks like tapestry!
OMG… I’ve just fallen out of my chair in the office… (got some funny looks, let me tell you)
WE’RE NOT WORTHY!! WE’RE NOT WORTHY!!!
:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Absolutely awesome!!!
Years and years (and years) of knitting, and I still cannot do intarsia patterns well.
So I’m in awe of anyone who can.
It’s just beautiful, Ingrid. :happydance:
It’s actually not as thick as a stranded sweater since it’s one layer. It is made from superwash wool, though, so I’m sure it will be warm.
Thank you everyone for the compliments. I’m humbled!

i want to be ingrid when i grow up.
There are NO words for this!!!
Wow, I’m speechless!
