:waving: Update: I ended up having to refelt it, details to why I did that, and a couple of picks of what it looks like now at my blog. I am actually happier with my new results.
Thanks everyone for your comments, I can’t wait for it to be dry to actually use it!!
:happydance:
I just finished felting my booga bag. Had something weird happen to it though, a part of it felted to it’s self and now I have this funky fold in it. I guess I should have been more careful when I was taking it out the bag and checking it?
I have some info on my blog with before felting dimensions and a few of the changes I made.
The color does change with the felting, of course it’s not completely dry yet, so maybe they will brighten up a bit. (of course after I downloaded the pics, the bag actually looks better that I expected! The before picture is actually a bit on the orange hue side.) Here are my before felting and after I felted it and shaped it to dry. I will post an update when it dries and I put the straps on.
I had that happen to a bag when I left it in the washer too long and it hit the spin cycle. I put it back in the hot water for a few minutes then stretched it. The “wrinkle” is mostly gone - it looks okay after drying.
I have to admit it is a lot smaller than I wanted, but not from what I expected from what others have said about SWS. It’s still a good size to use as a purse and not really a tote. I am definitely going to do another bag, but will probably try in Noro this time.
