FO: bonnet & booties

Working through my stash.
I bought the yarn at Hobby Lobby.
It’s called Baby Bee Sweet Delight pompadour, color Angel.
It’s what’s left from a baby set a couple years ago.
I used US size 2, 2.5 and 3 needles, but the label calls for size 6.

Awww that’s so sweet! Looks like it’ll be destined to be an heirloom someday!

So precious. That is the same yarn I used for the “Angel Wings” baby blanket and I love it. I had not used it before but I sure will be using it again. Is that your own pattern? The bonnet is so sweet.

Adorable! You put such great finishing touches on your projects! :yay:

Thank you Jan. You might be right about the heirloom thing. The baby’s Baptism is this Sunday and she is wearing her mommy’s Christening gown and the bonnet and booties.

I had to go get the book. The stitch pattern is called Split Leaf, from Barbara Walker’s 1st Treasury of patterns (pg.217/218). It looks entirely different not blocked as I did, and is one of my favorite stitches.
The bonnet is 1950s/'60s “basic pattern” style, as are the booties.

Wow … what a gorgeous set!! I love the pattern!

Lovely:inlove:

Lovely! Your finishing techniques are so meticulous. The set is sure to be treasured.

Darling! Love them all! And the photo shots were just great!
