FO: Big Foot Sox & fingerless gloves

The sox are for my son’s size 12 1/2 E feet and are done in Fortissima Color! Socka Color by Schoeller & Stahl. The pair weighs in at 85 gr. Working with this yarn was kind of fun as I got to see the repeats play out, not knowing what to expect.

The mitts are for me when I read in bed in my cold bedroom this winter and I’m sure they’ll be useful other times too. The color is wrong in the picture and I don’t know how to fix it, they’re more of a soft brown/tan color that I think is called Doe Heather. I’ve misplaced the yarn label but I’m pretty sure I used Stroll sport that I got on clearance from Knit Picks.

I used the Russian bind off in pattern on both. I used the Twisted German Cast On for the mitts.

Thanks for looking.

very nice, as usual!

Oh, very nice, GG! Those self-patterning yarns are fun to work. The mitts look wonderful, whatever the color.

Good job! Are those mitts the ones that you were having a hard time on? They look nice and cozy.

The mitts were supposed to be gloves with fingers. No fingers this time, maybe someday…

Great job on both items. Boy, am I glad I have short feet. I get a really cold hand when using the PC mouse so the mittens would be great. Well done GG.

I know what it’s like to knit socks that seem eternally on the needles. My husband and my son have huge feet… son’s are bigger tho so he only gets his for Christmas - 2 pair… ugh!
You did a great job on the socks and I love your mitts.
You gave me an idea that I must knit myself a pair for when I read in bed!
TEMA

They both look terrific!

GG, those are GORGEOUS socks and the fingerless gloves look like they’ll definitely help you through the cold days/nights. Great Work!!!
