FO - Beanie for Guy Friend

This beanie is for my daughter’s “Guy Friend.” I call him this because she is not allowed to date, but he comes to the house a lot, and they share a locker, and they exchange “I love you” text messages.

Blech…

Anyhow, he really is a nice guy. He came over last weekend and took care of my three dogs, even cleaning up the pee that was all over the place when he arrived too late Saturday morning to let them out. He saved me $180 by not having to board them. I figured this was the least I could do.

My son was kind enough to model:

The yarn is Lion Brand Wool Ease. I used Forest Green Heather and Paprika.

The pattern is called Nothing But Ribbing Beanie, from this pamphlet:

I modified the pattern to allow for the striping.

So, I gifted the hat tonight. I’m not sure if he liked it. He commented that he looks Jamaican when he wears it.

[COLOR=“DarkOrchid”]This is one beautiful hat… just love the colours. The little bit of red/orange stands out wonderfully and really makes the hat.
I’ve just got to try one of these…
