FO: Banana Tree Cardigan!

It’s finally done.

My sleeves came out 3.5" too long. I didn’t feel like wearing them cuffed, nor did I feel like reknitting the doggone things. So I cut off 3.5" from the end of each sleeve, picked up the live stitches and bound off! I explain how this process is done, along with 6 photos, in the last paragraphs ofmy Ravelry notes.

We are having 85 degree weather, and it’s way too hot to model this cardigan.
It’s too hot to wear anything except cotton pj’s.

This cuff end is the cut and bound “new” sleeve, but it looks just like the original.
The ‘hem’ of the body is also plain. I like it.

Considering all the difficulties you had with this cardi, it turned out looking splendid! Sorry to hear the sleeves were too long, but it looks like you have a master fix for them.

Lovely indeedy!

I have 416 yards of the yarn leftover. I think I’ll knit a simple cami-tank to wear with it! But not right now. Can’t wear this until October anyway!

Mmmm, lovely and perfect. It’ll look fabulous on and a cami would make a very smart set. Hurry October!

wow, just beautiful!!!

Beautiful work, as usual. I’d love to know where you get your patterns.

It’s gorgeous!! Sorry to hear about your sleeves. I would have been way too scared to cut mine. But, then again, I have super long arms so they probably would have fit perfectly!!

Yummy colour! I think you should be totally proud of yourself for fixing sleeves although it was a pain. Great job. That’s what I like about knitting – you can fix pretty much anything.

LOVE this!

Wow that is a beauty. I love it. I think you did sensation, everything from the color to the style. Nice work. I would have been way to afraid to cut that, amazing and no one would ever know it was cut. A cami sounds perfect.
I see the hot weather prevents trying on, living in florida I just said in another thread, no one would try it on, hence the problems with knitters here.

very pretty!
