FO: Back in September

Or maybe it was last year during school… I forget. Anyway, this family at my daughter’s school had lost all their stuff due to a house fire. Thankfully, they still had each other and insurance takes care of the rest! Well, the school decided to get together and get people to give stuff to them. My daughter’s grade got to get stuff together for the girl. Having no money and lots of yarn, as well as teeny, tiny knitting needles, I decided to make a few Barbie clothes for her. I went to the Stick-a-til Barbie knitting site and chose a few things. The shirt may be from somewhere else, though.

I bet that was one happy little girl! Great job!

OMG. Those are so kick-***.

Those are great! I don’t know that I’d be able to knit something that tiny!

Ty! Lol, yeah, let’s say… normal size crochet thread and yeah, teeny knitting needles… so small that the points on the end could poke you and draw blood- eek!

Trvvn, if you like that and want to delve into Barbie fashions, go to Sticka till! Omg, they have an entire line of ABBA stuff! Go figure, it’s a German site… but they have I think four or five translations of languages for patterns- including English! The patterns are really nice but might be a little obscure- not for the beginning knitter but someone who has at least tried one of everything, you know. I should take a picture of the ABBA bodysuit and ruffled skirt… omg, that’s really cute and kids nowadays would like it anyway, without knowing it was ABBA. They have the full-body catsuits, too lol. Anyway, it’s here: http://www.stickatillbarbie.se/ If it’s in dutch or something, just click home… but that should be in english. As for the patterns, you just choose the one you want, then click english for the english download.

Lol, yeah, not sure on the gauge on that one but the dpn’s I used were too small to find their size in my knit-check ruler… definitely below size 0

I used sew Barbie clothes for my little sister and my daughter. But I never thought about knitting them

Sticka till has some really nice patterns but they’re not for the beginner. Likewise, this stuff is worked on really small needles and with really thin yarn or thread. It’s great doing it, though… they all come out lovely!

very cool, my grandmother used to crochet my barbie clothes

A great wardrobe! Wonderful!

I did find some crochet patterns for Barbie… unfortunately, many of the crochet and knitting patterns I found (other than sticka till) were kind of clunky-looking or whatever. I did find a few nice crochet ones, though… and of course, the sticka till knitting ones.

That’s awesome! What a wonderful thing to think of!

Oh, my… now that’s caring with a capital C!
Lovely work, so miniature, so well-done and soooo thoughtful!
Amazing all around.
