My friends shower was today. I made her the cabled baby hat based on Julie’s pattern Using Caron Simply Soft ShawdowsYarn in Mardi Grey This is sooo soft.
The poncho is just the basic two rectangles sewed together and the hat is based off the Lion Brand Velet Spun Hat.
I used Paton’s Pooch in Spring Blush. It went by so quick and was such a hit that I see this being my new “Baby Shower Usual”
Oh and while I was “slummng” it (as my friend calls it) at Michael’s I found a new yarn that I will cast on with tonight…
Paton’s SWS it’s a Soy/Wool blend. The colorways are to die for.
I hadn’t been in Michael’s in so long I couldn’t even remember. But the new finds I saw this week made me wish I hadn’t stayed away so long…although I’m still hitting the LYS tomorrow
