I’m excited about learning to knit socks. I’d love nothing more than to have a drawer full of colorful, punkish socks. The monkey pattern is on my to-do in the future.

That yarn worked great for that stitch. They are wonderful looking socks. What monkey? I was looking for a monkey, you know big ears and long tail. LOL
Yep, I’ll say the pattern is fairly simple and straightforward without any fancy stuff. If you’ve knitted socks before, this one should be a piece of cake (this is only my second pair of socks)! Plus, the pattern’s really clear and well-written so I say go for it! I’ll definitely knit this again if I was the sort to repeat patterns but hey, so many gorgeous sock patterns out there, so little time! :mrgreen:

‘Monkey’ looks really sturdy. I have a friend who can go through a home knit sock in no time at all, which frustrates both of us. She wears them out in the [I]arch.[/I]:??
About repeating patterns, I always like to have one project on hand that I don’t have to think about when working on it, so the second pair is always easier.
