I just learned to arm knit (that’s why i’m starting to REAL knit). I did a few scarves and they are so fun! Take about 1/2 hr. I learned how here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=070qaUxEyp4
So terrific! It looks great on, too. How many strands of yarn did you use?
Oh wow! We’ve chatted here about arm knitting, how cool is that to finally see what someone has done with it, instead of a video about it. Those are nifty!
How cool. Love your colors.
Hi - i’m such a newby but as far as how much yarn for scarf, I just pick up 2 balls (of 100 yards each) and use those. There is always some left over but not enough for another scarf. And I use chunky for adult scarves and #5 for kids scarves. You can mix and match colors too.
Those are fantastic! How perfect for making a quick gift, too.
Your scarves are BEAUTIFUL!!! I’m not a big fan of the arm knitted scarves (because of how chunky they are) but yours are gorgeous. What type of yarn did you use? Did you use two different colors? How many stitches did you cast on?
Thank you for the link!!! I watched it and I think I will give it a try too.
Thanks for the compliment :). For adult scarves I cast on 12 stitches and use chunky (#6) yarn. You can use whatever color you want or combination of color. For kids I do 8 or 9 stitches with #5 yarn. As for length, I just kind of wrap it around my neck and stop when it feels right… happy arm knitting!
Lovely! I tried it, but the stitches seemed so huge I wasn’t sure I was doing it correctly. Love yours though!
The stitches will be huge, the size of your wrist :). When you start it will looK like a HOT MESS. But keep going and it will look great!!
The scarves are very beautiful
I also like to ty armknitting.
Looks like fun to me :happydance:
They all look really great!
Really nice to see these in the flesh. They look great and your little model obviously approves.
Really gorgeous! I like the looks of it all piled high on cutie pie!
