FO - Another Doggy Sweater

I cast this on when I was waiting for more yarn for my huge bag and finished tonight while I was hangin with Andrea at her Knitting Guild knit-together. This is from Puppy Knits…a GREAT book for anyone who has a small pooch. I omitted the goofy pompons as the recipient is a MAN, for gawd’s sake.

This sweater is for Howie’s friend, Symin the poodle, who owns my co-worker, the Director of Nursing. Bob has MANY times purchased treats and presents for Howie, and its about time I was able to do something nice for him.

Here it is, modeled by my very own Madilyn Louise, who is NOT a poodle, but lhasas are ABOUT the same size.

 That is so cute!

poor Howie not the center of attention :roflhard:

Love the cable work, Kelly!

Beautiful sweater!! Great gift idea!!

Poor Howie.

THANKS! Now I have to make another one, as requested, for a friend’s birthdya!

That’s adorable! :inlove: :inlove:

Maddie needs more photo ops…Howie needs to learn to share the spotlight!

So, now that you’re hooked on doggie sweaters, think you’ll be doing a doggie sweater class at your LYS?

Funny that you mention that, because Dana wants Howie to wear sweaters every time he comes in to “ADVERTISE”. :rofling: I think I should learn better how to measure a dog and make my own before i teach a class for that. There are so many differnt types of patterns out there…

 Spooky!

And I’m sure Howie has no problem at all doing the modeling!

It sounds like you’re getting lots of practice on the doggy-wear, so I’m sure you’ll feel confident within a matter of months! You’ll be an expert by fall and the beginning of doggie-sweater season!

Cute sweater! I like the color change for the ‘sleeves’–all three inches of them. Howie does seem a little ‘put out,’ though. Poor baby NEVER gets any attention! :roflhard:

Adorable sweater! Madilyn looks wonderful in it. Are you sure she doesn’t want to keep it?!

Poor Howie.

Thanks, everybody…

Maddie doesnt NEED a sweater…she has LOTS of “natural sweater” of her own. Lhasa’a have an undercoat, the breed having been developed in Tibet and all…

I cant WAIT to give it to Bob today! I only hope he brings Symin!

Great sweater! I agree with the rest… Maddie needs more photo ops!

The sweater is awesome! You’ll have to get a pic on the recipient. Maddie looks so cute in it though…too bad she already has so much hair

Symin is SOOO excited about his sweater! TOO funny…its like he KNEW it was a gift for him. As Bob was opening it, Symin was bouncing back & forth between us, smiling…after Bob tried it on him (it fit PERFECTLY!), he bounced back & forth even MORE and was smooching me all over the place…something he doesnt do often.

And, Bob (being the fancy man that he is) LOVES it… :cheering: “Ooooh, SYMIN…look at your PRETTY sweater! Wait til your MOTHER sees it!” :rofling:

Will post pics when I get home!

:roflhard:

Cute!!

Really nice! Wish I could be as good a knitter as you. Our Daisy (photo with Cindy the Lab in my blog) may have had some Lhasa in her. I’ve heard other Lhasa’s bark and they have a similar bark…so sharp and shrill…they could crack concrete
