FO - 6 piece, 3 color afghan

Wow, it’s done! I posted working on this a while back but it took me a while to put the pieces together because I couldn’t bring myself to keep an afghan in my lap in the heat of the summer.

Anyway, this project was started at least 17 years ago. I started it before I met my DH and we are now married for nearly 16 years. It’s going to my DB who was my inpired me to finish it with a mere “I’ll take it”.

You wouldn’t believe how many errors there are and how many times I actually cut away parts of it to get it to line up and what not. It is a generous size of 5’x6’9. Anyway, without further ado… Whallah!

That is gorgeous! Well done!

Wow! Doesn’t it feel good to have that finished! Looks like a perfect “guy blanket”!

:cheering: Worth waiting for! It’s huge!

Wow… lots of time, yarn and knitting in there! How neat that your DB wants the afghan.

Congratulations on getting it finished!

Mama Bear

:happydance: HOORAY!! I bet it feels great to finish it!!

It really is pretty, too-your DB is a lucky guy!

:cheering: Yay! That’s great. Wow, what an acoomplishment. It’s fantastic!

Wow – that thing is HUGE! All I can say is, your brother better appreciate it after all your hard work!

 Now that is what I call a labor of love!

I would have a hard time parting with it since it took so long :teehee:

Congratulations on finally finishing it. :cheering:

Wow that is nice! Must feel great to have such a huge project finished.

Thanks for the nice comments. :muah: LOL, yes as noted it IS huge!! And YES, I’m happy it’s done. I finished the panels in the spring, but procrastinated with stitching it together because I hadn’t done it before. Ingrid pointed me to the matress stitch which was intimidating until I really started it. That’s a great stitch! I can just barely see my stitch color on occasion and actually easy to work.

Next project…

That is gorgeous!!! Super Job!!! :cheering:

Stunning!

Holy smokes, that’s beautiful!!! Great job! I would LOVE to have that on my bed!
