Wow, it’s done! I posted working on this a while back but it took me a while to put the pieces together because I couldn’t bring myself to keep an afghan in my lap in the heat of the summer.
Anyway, this project was started at least 17 years ago. I started it before I met my DH and we are now married for nearly 16 years. It’s going to my DB who was my inpired me to finish it with a mere “I’ll take it”.
You wouldn’t believe how many errors there are and how many times I actually cut away parts of it to get it to line up and what not. It is a generous size of 5’x6’9. Anyway, without further ado… Whallah!
Thanks for the nice comments. LOL, yes as noted it IS huge!! And YES, I’m happy it’s done. I finished the panels in the spring, but procrastinated with stitching it together because I hadn’t done it before. Ingrid pointed me to the matress stitch which was intimidating until I really started it. That’s a great stitch! I can just barely see my stitch color on occasion and actually easy to work.
