FO: 2 pair of child's socks-modeled

I made these for my youngest grand children recently. The pink yarn and the rust is the same stuff. I dyed the pink with black cherry kool-aid for a boy color.

Pattern is Patons Child’s Long Stockings. I followed it pretty closely on the pink but used Cat Bordhi’s new Sweet Tomato Heel. On the boy’s pair the changes I made were just to make them a bit shorter and to use contrast cuff, heel, and toe.

Oh how cute they look! I’m sure they love having Grandma make them special things!

Thanks Jan. You are right they do like me knitting them things. They always want to wear their “Grandma sweaters”. Of course I’m tickled.

What adorable socks on such very sweet children!. The hat and sweater look perfect too. What great fun!

Nice long socks! Probably warm too.

I love the long socks for the girl. Isn’t it great when they love what you make for them?

Oh, they are so cute! Love the colors, but disturbing that if koolaid can do that to yarn, what does it do to your insides???

Yeah, I have drunk very little of it since I was a kid. Back then nobody thought anything of having it regularly. Sugar–a great source of energy.

Oh how they must love their Gramma Judy! Wonderful work!
