FO: 1st dpn mitten

Dang, I think I’m getting the hang of this! Sure there’s only one here, but I couldn’t wait to post. It looks much better in person and fits very nicely. :cheering:

The mittens are for me for cold weather running.

:cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

I am a true believer that mittens are the best first-DPN project.

Great job!! :cheering: What is the sound of one mitten clapping?

That is loverly! :cheering:

Looks great! DPNs scare me. Obviously by the look of that mitten, you got them down pretty good! Way to go!! :cheering:

That looks great!!! Love the colors!

Very nice! I’m always impressed by mittens because I still can’t make them…and I even adore DPNs! I love that blue color.

That photo not only shows off your work really well,
but would make a fine ad for Lion Yarns.

 Maybe they’ll buy it from you.

Nice job

 Love the color combo!

Those are GREAT!!! Love the colors!

Wow! That is your first? Awesome job!

:cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

Love the mitten!! You should be proud- it looks great!!

Beautiful!! Such lovely colors!!

Thanks for the nice comments! Here’s the other one. :happydance: Since this is just for me, I made the 2nd one with a rounder top so they aren’t a perfect match. While making these I learned that you can’t decrease at the same point though because it will create visible lines and random decreases really stink if you plan on writing it down to follow for next time. I also learned that when doing stripes it’s best to have (or adapt) a pattern so that the thumb is knitted at the beginning of one and the end of the other so that new rows will fall in the palm of the mitten. --at least that’s what I’m thinking at this hour. The picture’s not that great and the lighting is bad at this hour.

BUT… I’m very pleased with my new mittens and really could have used them for today’s 10° run but they weren’t done yet so I had to use my 1st 2-needle, mishapen, too-short ones that I made a while back that I (clear throat) use to be proud of too.

They look great and nice and cozy. I see what you mean about the rounder top. That looks nice.
