Hello all,
I am going to travel a long distance this year and would like to know how you all feel about knitting needles in planes. I am also taking a short flight and want to make a few hats and socks on both the trips. :yay: Have you had any run-ins with security or anything I need to be careful about? :pout: (Needles in the trash?) I would like to know ASAP. I also would like to know if I should call the airline beforehand. TIA!
Flying needles!
Here’s some threads on this question. It’s been asked many times.

Your question has been asked many times before, but you know, it doesn’t hurt to call the airline. If you are traveling in the United States, you shouldn’t have any problems, unless you get an unpleaseant TSA worker…I have heard suggested that you carry a self-addressed envelope to mail the needles home in the event they won’t allow them on the plane.
Hope that helps!
