so i am a new self taught knitter, and i have started adapting a pattern for a hat (found here: www(dot)knitculture(dot)com/our-blog/wise-old-owl-hats/) into a kindle case. and i have not gotten very far, only to the first cable row, and it hit me that i haven’t got the foggiest clue of how to work the back side of this pattern!!! if there is anyone that could please help, i would much appreciate it!! also, posting what i have so far.
C4F: slip two sts onto cable needle and hold in front, k2, k2 from cable needle
C4B: slip two sts onto cable needle and hold in back, k2, k2 from cable needle
Cast on 24 sts.
Stockinette for 3 rows
i began the pattern on garter side, to match up with the preceeding purl stitches
Row 1: *k1 p3 k8 p3 k8 p1
Row 2: *k1 p8 k3 p8 k3 p1
Row 3: repeat row 1
Row 4: repeat row 2
i had to repeat row 2 to get the work back to the correct end to begin the cables.
Row 5: k1, p3, C4B, C4f, p3 C4B, C4F, p1
and here is my dead end!!
