Flashing/Pooling Question

I started knitting the Corona sweaterout of Cascade 220 dipdyed in pink. I love the yarn and I swatched and cast on last night.
Well, one of my least favourite things has started to happen. I am getting flashing (the zig zag type pooling) already! I’m currently on the ribbing and I have about 4 more inches to go, but then I’ll be doing stockinette and decreases, so the flashing should change by then…right?

I really don’t want any flashing or pooling in a sweater. It can be okay in socks, but this is something that will be shown off.

Here are my options as I see them:

-ignore the flashing in the ribbing and hope it goes away when I get to the stockinette.
-frog and start with a different needle size (I could go down one).
-rip back a couple rows and start alternating skeins.

What do you guys think? How do you avoid flashing/pooling?

I would go with option 3…it seems the most reasonable…

I think you will still get pooling with a different needles size, it just may take longer to get there…

and ignoring it won’t make it go away…smiles
