Fixing your harmony needles - a question

I broke down and ordered them. I love them. More than my Denises (there, I said it.) However, the inevitable happened and the tip of my size 10 came out of the metal casing.

No biggie, a call to customer service at Knitpicks and a new set will be sent to me. However, I know some of you crafty ones out there have glued their tips back in and used them.

What kind of glue are we talking about here? Not just plain ol’ Elmers – would that hold the wood onto the metal.

So what works?

super glued mine and it hasn’t come apart yet

I haven’t fixed the harmony needles but a good epoxy would bond metal and wood. You can get a number of varieties at your hardware store. You can get a good maximum strength epoxy that fixes in 5 minutes for about $8
