Fixing sleeves

Working on sweater using Lincoln Long wool and finished it last night only to find that the sleeves are not right. The sweater has fair isle borders (9 of them) and then an intricate pattern for the body. The sleeves are the same so that the fair isle pattern, etc. is followed around the whole sweater including the sleeves. Question – how can I shorten the patterned part of the sleeves w/o taking the whole thing apart. If I take it apart at the fair isle pattern (which I can do) I’ll have two unknit “ends” - how can I knit them together? – 3 needle bind off?
Hope this question makes some sense… and, thank you.

You would use kitchener st to graft them together; 3 needle BO will leave a seam which you probably won’t want. A video for kitchener is on the Tips page under Finishing.

Thank you! You’ve helped me solve what seemed to be an unsolvable. :yay:
