Fixing hole that looks like a dropped stitch

I’m working on a Sophie bag. I knit the strap attached it, now am binding off the edge back around to where the strap came from. it?m almost there and between where the strap originates and the last bind off stitch there is a “ladder”, but its not dropped stitches. What is it and how do I fix it?

Thanks, Candace

It’s probably a jog where one row ended and the new one began when you were knitting in the round. Felting will obliterate it, I imagine.

Hi Ingrid. Your right I bet it willk be ok. I do have a baby poncho Id like to correct the same mistake on. Is it a mistake or is it just a thing ya fix? And can it be fixed?

There is a way to create a “jogless jog” when knitting stripes–just google and different places have it. When I knit in the round, I do notice where I went from one row to the other, but it really doesn’t bother me. I consider it the nature of the beast. I’d rather not do anything special at each round, and I’m grateful not to have to seam. All my other clothing has seams, why shouldn’t a knitted item–even if it’s not really a ‘seam?’
