hi…i really dunno which instruction to follow 4 this pattern…somesaid row 1:purl…then p1,k1b…p2 at the end…meanwhile the other is ROW 1:k1p1,k1,R2:p1k1b,p1R3:k1,p1k1blas st k…n many other…cn anyone tell me whether this different techniques will produce different pattern…btw i wanna do winter scarf 4 my gufriend,a gurl…n the color of yarn is slightly dark blue…thanx

Yes, they may look a little different. You might knit up a sample of about 20 sts and 6 or 8 rows of each one to see which one you like better.
