First time using a pattern?

may pattern says; Slip 1 as if to knit,*P1 tbl, K1: repeat from * across.
I dont understand Slip 1 as to knit, what do they mean “Slip 1”??

Help!

you just transfer the stitch from the left needle to the right needle. Don’t do anything to it. To slip “knitwise”, just insert your right needle as if you were going to knit, but instead of knitting it, just let it slide over to the right needle.
