First socks finally finished

This is my first foray into the world of socks, and I have to say, I kind of like it. I probably started these around March and worked on them on and off for a while. Once the heel and foot construction made sense to me (thanks to some lovely KH members  ) they sailed right along.

I’m working on another pair now in the same pattern to try to fine tune them a little, and then I might move on to a more complicated pattern. I understand now why everybody loves socks so much. It’s so nice to just have a nice little project to take with you that you don’t have to think about too much. :teehee:

The yarn is Red Heart Heart & Sole in Spring Stripe. I kind of like the yarn better on the skein than I do knitted, but they certainly are colorful and unlike any socks that anybody I know has. :aww:

They are wonderful and the matching up of colour is PERFECT. You will be hooked now.

They look great! I like the bright, cheery colors

Great job on them!

I’m so impressed with your first socks. They are so colorful and fun. Great job!

Ahhhhh…another sock addict in the making!

You did a terrific job on your first pair! Congratulations!

I find that no matter how many pairs I’ve knit, I’m always learning something new about construction and the way designers work various elements into these fun little projects.

I can’t wait to see your second pair!!

Congrats! They look great!!! Sigh, … one of these days I AM going to make socks!

Wonderful work! I need to catch up with you! I still haven’t taken the sock plunge!

Way to go! Aren’t socks great?!? I used that yarn once and I don’t want to use it again. I do really like Deborah Norville’s sock yarn though.

I did rather enjoy the process. I didn’t mind the yarn so much as the way the colors presented themselves, but I’m just telling myself my socks are full of personality. :teehee:
