Here’s my first sock. I am not making a second sock with this yarn because I didn’t like the way it felt while I was knitting (it gave me a rope burn). So I’m making a new pair of socks, instead, out of chenille. But this is, and ever will be, my first sock. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll suck it up, wear a glove, and do a second sock.
It looks fabulous!
It looks great! What yarn is it that you don’t like?
It’s lion brand magic stripes. It bothers me. Maybe I knit too tight, I don’t know, but the yarn gave me rope burn on my finger and my hand. I was using bandaids and moleskin, but that got onerous.
WTG…your 1st sock looks FABULOUS!! LOL, I know what you mean about the burn, although my fingers are burning from breaking in new dpns with a teflon-like coating on them…I’m just going to go get new metal ones & forget the breaking in process…YUCK
The sock looks great - and hey, there are NO sock rules about making a match If you aren’t liking the yarn try a different one.

I think the sock looks fabulous! Sorry to hear about the rope burn… all the work that goes into a sock deserves better than that!
Ahhhhh, I love that color as well…thats the beauty of knitting with these ‘self pattern’ yarns, they keep you knitting as its a suprise around every needle.
Happy Knitting & great job!
:cheering: WTG! It looks great! I made my first pair with the LB magic stripes too…it was okay to work with, but I like other sock yarns better!
The sock looks great - sorry to hear about your troubles with the yarn.
that sock looks really good!!!
bummer about the yarn. it’s always a learning process.
