First Felted Tote

This is my first felting project. It is Fiber Trend’s Maggie’s Tote made with worsted weight Lambs Pride Wool. It was my first time with all of the color changes also. I’m using it to hold my WIP’s.

Very pretty! Great job! :cheering:

Really beautiful!!

That is really pretty i love the colors.

Great job! I love the colors you used.

:cheering: I love all the colors!! You did a great job!

I LOVE it!!! GReat job!!!

Pretty bag! I love the colors you picked. I think felting is neat because it really blends the colors together.

I have that pattern in my book, it’s calling my name—great job!

Thanks everyone! It was a pretty easy pattern to follow, although weaving in all of the yarn ends seemed to take longer than the bag itself.

Thanks again!

LOVE it! Great colors!

VERY cute, Lisa! What are your finished dimensions? I have that pattern and am considering it for a knitting bag…Im just not sure yet.

I think it looks great! I hate weaving in the ends but only because I’m afraid it’s all going to unravel on me!

Kelly~I’ll check the dimensions when I get home, I’m at work now and I don’t have the bag with me. The straps didn’t shrink in length as much I would have liked. I wanted them a little shorter.

Ronda~I was afraid too that some would come undone in the washer, but they all just disappeared without a problem when it felted!

Kelly~I made the smaller size of the pattern using worsted weight yarn and size 10 1/2 needles. The sides angle down, so across the top is 19 in., and across the bottom is 15 in. The bag is 9-1/2 in high. Someone at the LYS made the larger size and it was pretty big. She had it stuffed with alot of yarn!

Hope this helps!

It’s absolutely gorgeous, Lisa! I love the colors! And the size is perfect! Must have been pretty big before felting it.

Oh wow, those colors are gorgeous! Nice work! :inlove:

Love those stripes - great colours really cheerful.

I love it!!!

WOW, Do I ever like that. Can I have it?
