I knitted this hat last year before my christmas trip to NY…
The Pattern I used is called 3 AM Cable Hat and can be found here:
the reason why it looks like a fisherman’s hat is because when I finished knitting the hat it was too short for my big head…so I picked up the cast-on stitches and knitted a few more rows and then used a stretchy bind off method to finish the hat :teehee: thats why I call my hat, the 3 AM Cable Hat with a Twist 
It looks great! I remember you saying you were so cold on that trip to NY, so I guess you got a lot of wear out of it then?
