Right now, I am ready to begin the collar of my sweater. I have some stitches on the needles in the front and back and I am supposed to pick up stitches on either side. But I don’t know how to do it. Do I knit the stitches on the holder, then pick up stitches as I go, or pick up all my stitches first, then knit them all? I am just really confused.
If not, I’d probably just knit across one of the sets of stitches that you have on holders, then when you get to the end you’ll arrive at one of the edges where you are to pick up stitches. Continue on with the working yarn and the same needle you just knit onto and pick up stitches along that edge until you get to the other set that’s on hold. Knit across those, then pick up the last set of stitches and now you’re ready to go with your neckline.
