Here is the second pair of socks I’ve made. These look rather small for my husband’s quite large (size 11) feet…translation: they’re a bit tight. But he loves them all the same.
The yarn is Moda Dea Sassy Stripes (color: polo), cheap acrylic sock yarn, which I used because I still didn’t feel too confident of my sock-making skills. The pattern is from the Moda Dea website, and it’s knit in 2x2 ribbing all the way down to the toe (except on the sole, of course), so they were more than a bit tedious.
Now, I do have some yummy turquoise sock yarn that I finally feel ready to use for my next pair. Can’t wait!!
Finished socks
Congratulations! They look great!
Your socks are beautiful! I really like the colors. I can’t wait to see the turquoise sock yarn. I think knitting socks is so much fun!
Fun socks, the yarn pattern is fun!
Great work! Love the yarn too. You’re lucky your DH will wear fun socks (not just black ones). I have to knit size 13s!!! on boooooooring yarn. Translation: knitting lobotomy
Those are nice!
:happydance: Great job!
They look great! I love those colors.
They turned out really nice! What kind of yarn is your turquoise yarn?
Marria, the yarn I will be using for my next pair is a Lana Grossa sock yarn. It’s such a pretty color, I can’t wait to get started…just looking for a great pattern.
Very pretty! I love the colors.
I think they look great! You shouldn’t be so modest about your sock knitting abilities:thumbsup:!
Very nice!
They look great!
Oooo nice Kaye! I envy you the ability to knit socks. I meant to learn how this year…but I guess that’ll have to be my 2009 goal!
That’s a great resolution! Socks are so much fun to knit…especially for those who want instant FO gratification (like me).
