Thanks Cristy. Not perfect (slight laddering problem in the one I did on DPNs) but better than I expected them to be.

Thanks. I have a few skeins of sport weight cotton yarn I want to turn into socks. I’m just not sure if I’m ready to try smaller needles and yarn just yet.

Awesome socks, Mason! :cheering: I’m brave enough to tackle sweaters, but not socks. :oops: Maybe, I’ll give socks a try one day.

What yarn did you use, as I love the colors–looks like slate blue/gray with bits of darker blue & brown hues.

Your socks are impressive. You aren’t going to be one of those people who looks back at them in ten years and laughs at your first pair of socks. You ought to frame them. :teehee:

Now you know you have to get some custom-made mud flaps for your truck, depicting yarn and needles. :roflhard:

AWesome job! I’m actually going to be knitting a pair of socks for my dad as my next project. I’m a little worried, but I think I can do it. What pattern did you use, and was it easy?

Thanks everyone. The mud flaps would be pretty funny.

The color of the socks is actually green with tans, and white. My crummy webcam just doesn’t take very good pics.

They were done using Silver’s Sock Class, and it really wasn’t all that hard. The tutorial is pretty easy to follow.

I haven’t had the guts to knit socks yet but seeing how well yours turned out i should just suck it up and just DO IT…right after i finish this sweater i’m trying to make for my DS :teehee:

The first pair of socks!

If you are interested in a nice wearing yarn for more socks (later on) there is the Denim style yarn by Bernat. It is 70 % Acrylic with 30% cotton. My hubby loves his. I knit time on 4.5 mm kneedles and only 48 stitches for his size 15 feet. I wouldn’t say they go fast, but faster than 68 stitches on 2 mm needles :lol:
