Finished Hat and Scarf

Yippee, I finished the hat and scarf for my young friend Helen. She knows I made a hat but doens’t know it is for her.

Pattern for the hat is at

I used some very old Bernat fisherman’s weight yarn my mother gave me years ago.

I sorta made up the scarf … I had knit about four inches using the same needle size as for the hat and the texture just seemed too stiff for a little girl. So, I pulled it all out and tried fewer stitches (just 24) on size 11 circular. I made a couple of key mistakes but generally found ways to cover them up, he he.

On to new niece Dakota’s Christmas stocking.

Beautiful! I don’t see any booboos!

I think it looks great! Very pretty pattern!

:cheering: they look so soft and warm!!!

Katie, what a wonderful combo :cheering: :cheering: Too cute, I must say

Adorable! Nice job!

What a great gift! They’re beautiful.

Very nice!

Very nice great job

VERY cool pattern!!

Thank you, all. I think I’m gonna try your scrunchable scarf next, Kelly. (oh, but I do liked Jan’s hat, too.) It looks cuddly and will be a good mindless project while I work on baby Dakota’s christmas stocking where I have to think and watch the chart.
