Finished first sock!

I just finished my first sock! I’d been planning for years to try socks, and I finally got around to it. It took me three weeks, I started over seven (7!) times, alternating between size 3 and size 4 and size 5 dpns (I eventually went with 4), and I KNOW I did the toe wrong (that Kitchener stitch was so freaking frightening!), but it’s done. And it fits (both me and my daughter)! It’s a simple pattern, knit on Sassy Stripes (acrylic) yarn…I wasn’t about to use the good stuff on my first pair. Anyway, I think I’m addicted now. Socks are such fun!!!:woohoo:

Yes, I’m starting the other sock this evening.
When my ten-year-old daughter saw this, she said, "Why didn’t you take a picture of ME wearing it? I want MY foot to be on the internet!"
So, I guess I’ll be posting a photo of the finished pair on HER feet…eventually.

I learned to knit socks last Jan. and have become totally addicted!! I have finished 17 pair and have 2 pair on the needles now… one on Magic loop method and I am learning now how to do both at once on 2 circulars.:woot: I have a wonderful yarn shop and I am taking classes there. Shelley
