I have two balls of Knit Pick Wools of Andes in Steam I want to use for these but I need a pattern that you don’t have to use on dnps. I only own one pair and they us 10 1/2. I don’t have the money to buy anymore. Thanks!
Rory, I’ve only seen these on dpn’s; sorry. But, I myself had the same problem (lack of money for dpn’s), so I just made my own out of dowel rods from the hardware store. The dowels I got were like 50¢, and you get 4-5 out of them depending on how long you wanted them. Maybe that’s a viable option for you? Amy’s also got a video for making your own knitting needles. I cut my dowels the size I wanted them, then stuck each end in a pencil sharpener, then filed them down. If I worked a bit more on them, they’d probably work better, but for practically free, I’m not going to complain!
Do you own circular needles?? If so, you can knit in the round using either magic loop knitting (requires one LONG circular) or small diameter circular knitting on 2 circular needles (requires 2 circular needles of whatever length, but they have to be the same needle size). You can find videos for both methods here.

Did you check here?
I think you could easily do something on two needles, basically two rectangles in a stitch pattern of your choice, completely seam up one side, then seam up most of the way, leave a small hole for your thumb (sorta like a buttonhole), and finish off the seam. OR make one almost squarish rectangle and fold it over and just seam up the thumb side like above, one less seam to sew.
I’ve seen a pattern like this, but I don’t remember where.
but you could make it ribbed so that it has give where it needs to, and still pulls close where your wrists are thinner.
Maybe this pattern would work?
I bought a set of us 9 and us 5 double points. I found a pattern on knittingpatterncentral.com. thanks for all the patterns!
