Finger only gloves?

I’m looking for a pattern for finger only gloves. Kinda like reverse fingerless gloves I guess. heh. I did a search on google, but didn’t really come up with anything.

I’m sure I can make up my own, if there’s not a pattern out there. Just wondering if anyone has done one before.

I have never heard of such a thing. Do you have a pic of what they look like ??? Is that what all the kids are wearing these days ? I could only guess that you should look at a pattern for REGULAR gloves and not knit the HAND part. :thinking: hmmmmmm… That’s interesting. I did a Yahoo search and I couldn’t come up with anything either. Post some pics of them if you do decide to knit your fingers.

No, I haven’t seen any either.

My fingertips are always freezing, but my palms are always sweaty. So, I thought, just something to cover the fingertips.

Once I get some better yarn I’m gonna do some experimenting.

I still can’t find a pattern but we now have a name !!! The are called finger cots. Maybe this will give you an idea of what to do.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking, except longer to cover the whole finger and connected so I wouldn’t lose them all the time. :lol:

You could knit a glove, like a whole glove, but doing a lacey part on the palm and then doing the fingers solid. You’d have to probably cast on more stitches right before the fingers part though so that your fingers CAN be solid.

Or you could cast on as many sts in your gauge that equal the circumference of your hand under your fingers, knit for a few rows and then divi up the stitches and knit 4 sections for fingers. And you’d have to do the same on the thumb part, unless you just decide you dont want a thumb and you can just make it into a big buttonhole so your thumb can slide through.

I think you could adapt this quite easily to your needs.
