FINALLY Finished!

After about 2 years of working on the “Jesse’s Flames” sweater from the Stitch N Bitch Nation book, I finally finished it tonight! :woot::woot:

The sweater was truly so incredibly easy but I kept making stupid mistakes, over and over again. I think I was focusing so hard on paying attention that it backfired…lol…Anyway, I wanted to get it done before Christmas to give it to hubby as a Christmas gift, but, I ran out of time. I did finish it tonight though!

I am soooo happy to finally be done with it, and to know that hubby won’t nag me about it anymore…lol…I wanted him to try it on so badly, but, he’s not feeling well and is passed out on the couch…BAH!

I’ll get some pics of it tomorrow…I’m really happy with the way it turned out! So, one sweater down, and I’m sure many more to come…lol…I don’t think I’ll ever knit a sweater I have to seam again though! UGH! I really, really hate seaming, though, my seaming on the sweater is the best I’ve done yet.

WOW!:yay:
Did you say you’d been knitting it for… how long…?
You must have the patience of Job…
Oh, I’m so glad you got it done… such a feeling of accomplishment, isn’t it?
I’m about to start (hopefully, if the yarn comes) a large sweater of my own for the first time in about 3 decades so I thank you for posting your success… it gives me hope…:aww:
Congratulations!

It is indeed a feeling of accomplishment! I just bought a TON of new yarn with all the gift certificates I got for Christmas so I really wanted to get the sweater for hubby out of the way before I moved on to spoiling myself with my new yummy yarn…haha…After seeing that sweater all finished, it really gives me the feeling I can knit anything I want!

Congratulations on finishing the interminable project of doom!! (I had one of those–an afghan with individual 12 x 12 squares, which doesn’t sound too bad, until I tell you that no two squares had the same pattern and I made it big enough to cover a king size bed.) I’ll tell you though, it was a wonderful feeling binding off the last square, weaving in the ends and putting a single crochet border, and then it was done. So you should definitely celebrate by making something nice for YOU. :woohoo:

Congrats!! What’s nxt on your list?

Yay! :yay:
