Finally finished my finished booga

i put a lining in and i used grommets on the holes. i gave it to my grandmother and she says she would like longer straps and doubled…

It came out great! I really like the lining fabric.

(Aren’t Gramma’s funny~ not afraid to say and ask for what they like!)

Its GORGEOUS!! Silly Grandma…

It looks beautiful-------great job. Hope Grandma learns to love it!

Beautiful!

Looks fabulous! Love the lining!

Very professional-looking with that gorgeous lining and the grommets. Grandmas always need strong straps because they keep half their lives in their bags! Got enough yarn leftover to do that for her? If not, you could tell her the bag would just hang too low with longer straps, and that doubled straps wouldn’t fit through the holes.

I like it, love it, just the way it is.

It’s beautiful! And so nice to hear from you, too!

Tell her that MY booga straps stretched quite a bit once I loaded it up with my heavy stuff. I am thinking of going back and cutting them off and re-knotting. Your bag looks fantastic. I didn’t line mine, but now I want to.

Gorgeous!! Love the lining, too!!

Niiiice!!! Love the colors!! And good thinking of putting a liner in(I heard it helps to not strectch your finished bag)

I think your bag is beautifully done…inside and out…the letters are great too. Her initials I imagine. Nice and personal. You are a wonderful granddaughter to make this lovely and practical bag for your grandmother. Perhaps she wants to make it a shoulder bag so she can have her hands free when she walks. This is safer for her. Let’s hope the straps do stretch out for her a bit. Unless of course you can make new straps that are a bit longer to be worn over her shoulder. I hope she grows to appreciate and enjoy her new bag.

Beautiful!! I love the lining, too!

How nicely put.

The bag is beautifully done. The lining looks scrumptious.

thanks everybody. i was actually surprised at her reaction. i didn’t expect her to be so happy about it.
but if i double the straps will it be sturdier?
:waving: HI Ingrid… i’ve been lurking.

 great job, Carmell!
funny Grandma. mine would probably say the same kind of thing to me.
