Um, I crochet and this is confusing to me too. I think I would have to see the whole pattern to try and figure it out. I don’t know why in the world some patterns are written like this. I guess to the writer, who knows what he/she’s doing, it makes sense. If all else fails, I would contact FT for clarification.
