Fiber Trend Clogs-2006 and 2007

Since the other clog thread is sooooo long, and many people have expressed an interest in making them for the first time, I’ve opened this one and locked the other to responses. This way all new questions can come here, and you don’t have to feel compelled to read through thousands responses to find a simple answer.

Clog on!!!

Ok, thats it - I gotta get started on these things - surely if I can make a simple sweater I can handle the counting!!! Thanks, Ingrid!

:happydance: Thanks Ingrid. All right everybody, let’s make it work!

Okay, on a lark I used KP Palette (in mint and apricot) to make a pair of kids clogs. Yikes! Halfway through the first cycle the things were felted. LOL. I’m not sure how this weight would work for an adult pair, but I like it for the kids.

Cute!! And judging by the 5 minute difference in your two posts, I’d say you beat Kelly’s record!!!

Alright everyone, let’s get knitting!!! :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

I’m so excited! I finally found a yarn store that had the Clog pattern…they even have the kids pattern (which I’m picking up next weekend).

I’m not sure when I’m going to start these but I want to find some good wool yarn that isn’t too pricey.

Any Calgarians/Albertans who knows where to find cheap wool lol?

LOL Okay, I must confess, these were not made in the 5 minute period. They did only really take about a day, though. I was impressed how fast the children’s pattern goes. However, I’m about to start a new pair as they don’t fit the intended child. :frowning:

Too big and you can probably keep on felting.

Or are they too small?
:verysad:

I’ve got a couple pair that I just made recently. Knitpicks WOTA in pink and purple for my daughter, brown and blue for my son.

I didn’t put a bumper on these ones.

The WOTA felted VERY fast - I would check the size after about 5 minutes.

My pattern is on its way! Yeah.

I need to stash bust with these. Can I use Manos? I have a ball and 3/4’s of another.

I just picked this pattern up the other day. I plan on making a few pairs for Christmas presents.

Too small. I stretched and stretched, but they remained small. The bonus is that there is a younger child that can take that pair over.

My machine felts these things so fast that I have to check on them every two minutes or so. It’s crazy! It makes for a fast project, though.

The finished ones… so far! I did the bumper up on the brown pair and down on the green pair. Now, I need to get to knitting me some more clogs! (Christmas ‘requests’ are already coming in)

Everyone’s cloggies are looking great!!! :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

Okay, I made a pair that did not fit middle child. Sooooo, I made a new pair. Took about 1 day to make.

I love the yarn you used on the second pair! Very cheerful!

Those are super cute. Did you dye the yarn yourself?

Here’s a pair I made for my Felted Clog workshop I hosted for my guild…in Cascade 220

I really like those colors, Andrea!
