Felting Question

Hi all,

I just felted my first project(s) :happydancing:. I bought some Kuyreon and made two Booga bags (one the regular size and one super sized). Now that they’re stretched out over their boxes, I’m worried that my super sized one isn’t felted enough. I can still see a bit of stitch definition, and it’s stretched so tightly over the box that you can see the vertical rows. So now I’m wondering if i should just let it continue drying and see what happens, or if I should just throw it back in the washer now while it’s still wet? I’m just afraid that the fabric won’t be stiff enough.

Can you re-felt something that has already been felted? I imagine you can, but is it better to throw it now while it’s wet or just wait and see? The regular sized Booga turned out fine.

Thanks in advance guys!

Yes, you can continue to felt it. Either wet it and toss in the dryer or the washer. The dryer is probably a little slower and easier to control if it only needs a little bit more.

I’ve found it doesn’t make a difference if you let it dry and then decide to felt again. I did it with a Constant Companion bag and it turned out great.

Thanks for all of your help. I decided to throw it back in last night, but now my super sized Booga is a lot smaller than I wanted it to be. It’ll still be cool though and definitely useable. I gotta say; I’m pretty happy with my first two felted projects, and I look forward to making more!
