Felted bowl on 13's, not 11's

I wicked want to start this bowl (link below), but I don’t have size 11 needles. I do have 13’s. In the other direction, I have 9’s. I plan to carry two strands of ww wool.

Any thoughts on what might happen if I use different size needles than she calls for. And, what would the lesser evil be, to go up in needle size, or down. I knit tightly. This is my first felting project.

Items that will be felted need to be pretty loosely knit so I think you’ll probably be fine with the 13’s. You may need to felt them a little more for size.

One thing you can do to make sure it’ll work is make a swatch with each one and felt them to see how they react.
