I am knitting a Christmas stocking cuff-down and doing a fair isle pattern. But as I am doing the fair isle I have noticed the knitted stitches are up-side down ie. the knitted stitches are inverted ^ not like a “v”. I tried doing the pattern upside down starting from the top of the chart and working down but that didn’t work. Do all Christmas stockings or socks have to be made from toe-up for fair isle to work.
Thank you.
Can you give a link to your pattern, or it’s name and where you found it?
Yes, that’s going to be true for. Stockings knit cuff down. it.is not so noticeable for a areas of 3 or 4 sts . If you have an area at the top of the cuff with a name you.might knit this bottom up. And graft it o the rest of the stocking,
