Fair Isle Hat

This is the fair isle hat from knittingpatterncentral.com. I used DK weight yarn and size 4 circ needle to do this, otherwise followed the pattern, and it turned out to fit my head which measures about 22 inches. It was a little tight before blocking, now perfect. I don’t know how it would fit anyone if knitted with worsted weight and size 6 needles as described! This is my first attempt to post a pic, hope it works! I am really happy with how this turned out. Learning to do fair isle style knitting was really fun! :happydance:

I love it! It’s wonderful!

Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous! You did a great job!

I love it! You did a great job! I love fair isle and have been playing a lot with it on preemie hats.

Wow, thanks all! It’s my first non-practice FO. I knitted a few practice hats with yucky yarns before but this was the first thing I finished that I actually made with the intention to wear it!

Your hat turned out great! :cheering:

That’s beautiful–so wintry looking, reminds me of ice skating, sledding and hot chocolate!

 that looks wonderful
