This is a sweater from the Elizabeth Zimmerman books. I did the most extensive color work I have ever done on any pattern, I steeked the neck to create a Henley opening. It took me 6 months to make!! This is a great sweater! Color knitting is not easy, but you made it look easy. Well, I should say…color knitting is very difficult for me. It’s that wrong-side tension thing. I just can’t seem to master it! You look fabulous! Thanks for sharing!!!
Hey Artlady, Lets not even discuss the tension issue. It is one of the flaws in this sweater. My tension improved as I went along…which made it inconsistent. Actually the washing “fixed” a lot of that.
The cat is named Simon. I adopted him in May, he is 7 years old. He is very cautious and shy. That particular day I had vacuumed after putting it off for much too long for his benefit. He had only been with us a couple of week. He ran into the bathroom to hide. When I was done I opened th bathroom door and there he was. He stayed there for quite a bit afterwards.
Turned out nicely. You did a lot of brave things on this project. Getting one of EZ % sweaters under your belt is a good feeling, and you learn so much. (I’ve only done 1 myself too)
