Extending cuff on a finished mitten

I made a pair of mittens for my son as a gift. Afterwards he asked if I could make the cuff a bit longer. Is there a way that I can add on to the cuff without it looking funny? Thanks

You might be able to take out or cut off the cast on, then pick up the sts and knit a few rows the other way. If it’s ribbing though, it’ll be a half st off and you may need to put in an extra to make it come out right.
