Last night I was at my new drama group and during other people’s auditions I pulled out my needles and carried on with a new swatch I’m current swatch-ing. :XX:
Many people asked me what I was making and i launched into “well, i will be making a hat for my nephew, but this is a swatch to measure the guage of the wool I’m using…”
The glazed looks after “but this is a swatch…” were common. But when I just answered “A hat for my nephew,” people looked at me like I was mental - “It’s going to be a bit small, isn’t it?”
From now on, I’ll just answer “nothing much…”
