Exchange positions of next 2 stitches

I have a pattern for a market bag (one of those open-work bags that collapses down to almost nothing). After CO x# of stitches, joining, then doing 5 rounds, the pattern says for "Rnd 6 (this makes the eyelets at each side of bag through which the drawstring cords will later be threaded): k1, sl 1 wyib, {yo, exchange positions of next 2 sts, sl 1, k2tog, sl 1}… "

So my question is: What exactly is meant by “Exchange positions of next 2 sts?” Do I simply put one stitch over the other on the left needle and then work continuing with the sl 1, k2tog, etc?

Appreciate any help on this.

Sniff :

I’ve never seen this before. What I would do is take the two stitches off and put them back on reversed and then continue with the next directions, using those stitches. Sound right to you?
