Exasperated Knitting Gloves--Need Help

Hi there, I’m new to the site and just know you’ll be able to help me. I’ve been knitting for a few years but have only done what I think are easy projects. You know simple scarves and prayer shaws. I’ve decided to knit my future daughter in-law a pair of fingerless gloves. I’ve tried using dpn but can’t seem to get the hang of them. I also have arthirtis which only makes it harder to juggle all the needles. Is it possible to use circular needles to achieve the same result? My pattern is below. Or if anyone has a simpler pair of fingerless gloves, I’m open to switching patterns. I’m using Lion Brand pattern number 909612AD. I’d really appreciate any help you all can offer.

Thanks, wj, aka Knitting Marine Mom

Since these are fingerless mitts, you could knit them flat. Instead of knitting in the round, open them up on the side opposite the thumb gusset, knit back and forth and when finished, sew up the seam. If needed you can add an extra st or two for the seam at the edges.
You could also try knitting these in the round with 2 circular needles if you prefer.
Best to edit your pattern so that there are no problems with copyright violations. Just the fact that they are fingerless mitts is actually enough information.

Hi Naomi, yes please edit your post to remove most of the pattern.

But certainly, you could work these on a circular, and use the magic loop method shown on the Advanced Technques page. Or use 2 circulars, also shown on that page.
