Etsy shop

Hey everyone! I’m considering setting up an Etsy shop to sell some knit stuff. I’ve been thinking about it for a while but I’m kind of scared. What do you guys think? Do you think I could make stuff that’s worth selling? I get so intimidated because I don’t spin and dye and everything, it makes me feel like I’m less of a crafty gurl or fiber artist or whatever.
I would probably mostly make socks, some purses and hats, and maybe the occasional lace shawl.
I want to do it, I think. But I just don’t know if it’ll work out. What do you think? Honest answers, please

I think you should try it! You have consistently made stuff I have loved all the way back to your Fake Isle hat and the bags with music notes on them… Your socks look very professional… Yeah, I think go for it. :cheering:

Go for it! What I have seen of your projects are totally awesome!!!

(Btw, Abe Lincon’s growing a beard didn’t make him any less Abe…Nor does not spinning and dying make you anyless of a fiberartist!)

Rach, I’m sure you’ll find buyers for anything you knit.

I think you have a real gift for knitting, and I’ve read that if you spin that becomes your main focus and you don’t get so much knitting done, that would be a waste!

BTW, I’ve decided that your name should really be Lydia!

You do beautiful work so as long as the work is your own pattern or one that isn’t a copyright issue I think it’s a great idea!

Ahh DebKCS, that’s the nicest thing you could have possibly said to me!!! You’re great!
Jan, I totally agree. I am really interested in learning basic construction types for all different kinds of garments and then mixing it up - just like I can do with socks! I have to admit it’s totally tempting to just sell a bunch of Palindrome scarves - haha Silver is great.
